Engineering Supervisor
Job Description
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of engineering and maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation, safety, and reliability of facilities, equipment, and building systems. This role supervises engineering staff, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensures compliance with safety standards, and supports operational excellence across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in engineering operations, facility maintenance, or building systems management.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and engineering best practices.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience Required
5–7 years of relevant experience in engineering operations, maintenance management, facilities engineering, or building systems, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance operations.
- Monitor the performance and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Plan, assign, and review maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Lead, train, and evaluate engineering and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and engineering standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for repairs and projects.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of maintenance tools and spare parts.
- Assist in developing budgets, cost-control measures, and process improvement initiatives.
