Senior MEP Coordinator
Job Description
The Senior MEP Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities for construction and fit-out projects. The role ensures that all MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The position collaborates closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in MEP coordination, construction project management, or building services engineering.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a senior coordination or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and UAE building regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Microsoft Office applications.

- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in high-rise, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use development projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction management software.

Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve design and installation issues.
- Monitor project progress and ensure MEP works are completed within approved schedules and budgets.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems and equipment.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, local building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project status updates for management and stakeholders.
- Support value engineering initiatives and recommend process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
