Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Communications Expert with a background in the telecommunications industry to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
 

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or similar relevant subject
• At least 8-12 years’ experience in public relations and communications, with a focus on telecommunications or technology within Saudi Arabia
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecom, ICT, digital platforms, broadcast, media operations, or technology-led communications environments, ideally with an agency background leading multi-sector accounts
• Strong media relations experience, including working with Saudi, regional, or international media
• Experience developing communications plans, message frameworks, media materials, etc. with a history of supporting issues management, crisis communications, reputation management, or sensitive communications topics
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, with any Arabic language skills an advantage

Responsibilities Duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing on-site strategic communications counsel and day-to-day coordination with the client communications team
• Supporting annual, quarterly, and monthly communications planning across PR, media relations, executive visibility, campaigns, and issues management
• Developing communications narratives, key messages, positioning angles, and treatment plans aligned with business priorities and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinating with internal client teams to identify upcoming announcements, risks, media opportunities, executive visibility needs, and content requirements
• Supporting proactive and reactive media relations, including journalistic engagement, media briefing preparation, interview planning, and follow-up actions
• Advising on issues management and crisis readiness, including escalation, holding statements, Q&As, sensitive messaging, and response coordination
