Job Description
The Cost & Value Engineer (CVE) is responsible for driving product cost optimization, structural bottom-up cost calculations, and manufacturing expense breakdowns. The role ensures the successful execution of value engineering workshops, vendor negotiation data packaging, and cost-reduction roadmaps without sacrificing product excellence or architectural integrity.
Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Analytics, or equivalent.

4+ years of hands-on experience in technical cost estimation, procurement engineering, or industrial value analysis.

High proficiency with industrial manufacturing software and database modeling suites.
Preferred Skills * Deep insight into machining, injection molding, electronics assembly, and global supply logistics.

Excellent negotiation support capabilities, data visualization, and analytical deduction skills.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute detailed linear cost models and component teardown evaluations to uncover savings.

Prepare granular bills of materials (BOM) cost estimates and manufacturing process cycle-time analyses.

Define target costing baselines for new product developments and modifications.

Coordinate with procurement, product design engineering, and strategic suppliers to refine production designs.

Monitor global commodity price shifts and promptly address cost escalation risks across active hardware lines.

Maintain accurate benchmark databases mapping international supplier capacities and manufacturing labor indices.
