Job Description
The Occupational Therapist (Outpatient) is responsible for evaluating, managing, and treating patients with diverse upper extremity injuries, neurological deficits, and chronic functional limitations within an outpatient clinic environment. The role ensures the successful execution of tailored physical plans, manual therapies, and activity adaptations to return the patient to independent occupational, domestic, and vocational workflows.
Required Qualifications * Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited educational track.

Active national board registration via the NBCOT.

Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license within the state of Arizona.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills * Advanced proficiency in hand therapy, custom orthotic fabrication, and ergonomic work-station modeling.

Exceptional communicative mechanics to guide independent patient panel progress outside direct clinic visits.
Experience Required * Active professional clinical experience operating inside an outpatient physical medicine facility or specialized hand and upper extremity clinic.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute outpatient clinic evaluations, checking muscle strength, hand dexterity, and localized fine motor controls.

Prepare personalized outpatient care roadmaps, detailing treatment steps, functional goals, and custom home exercise setups.

Administer prescribed manual techniques, soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic activities, and dynamic splinting systems.

Coordinate with primary care providers, hand surgeons, orthopedists, and outpatient physical therapy cohorts.

Monitor patient progress across scheduling matrices and promptly adjust therapeutic protocols based on functional advancements or pain flares.

Maintain accurate electronic clinical notes, ensuring swift compliance with outpatient insurance verification and coding requirements.
